The Ultimate Road racing frame is made of 3AL-2.5V Titanium tubing. The tubes are cold worked through swaging and bending, tapering and butting the tubes to strain harden the metal prior to welding the frame. This takes the precipitation hardening a step further and makes the tubing considerably stiffer and harder.
The Ultimate has short chainstays, just 39.3cm and sloping seat stays delivering a very short wheel base of approximately 95cm axle to axle for a brisk and snappy feel.
The down tube is made of 6Al-4V "Blade" or teardrop shaped tubing. It's larger cross section makes it's seat to head tube connection very sturdy and stiff.
The shifter bosses, bottle cage bosses, drop-outs, brake bridge, seat post binder assembly and the 68mm B/B shell are machined from 6AL-4V Ti plate or rod stock then TIG welded with the tubes.
The Ultimate uses a braze-on front derailleur.

The frame weight averages 3.3lbs. The Ultimate comes in a brushed Titanium finish. It can also come in a Polished Silver finish.
