Chain Wear Tool

The Speedtech wear indicator is used to evaluate the elongation of the chain. By placing a hooked piece of the tool, on a roller assembly and then rotating the gauge over the side of the chain it is possible to tell how the chain has lengthened by looking through a series of holes to see which most closely lines up with a matching rivet. Replacing a streched chain will make the rear shifts faster because the each roller assembly will porperly line up with the cog teeth.
