The U-brake version of the Gorilla brake beefer is made of 3.11mm thick 6061-T6 aluminum plate. The U-brake type of the Gorilla plate is machined on a milling center rather than being die-cut. It has 7 holes graduating in diameter from 7.85 to 12.65mm. The piece has a total height of 65mm and total width of 112.3mm. The inner height is 36.5mm and the inner width between the arm ends is 65.5mm. The U-brake version comes with two of the same bolts above and a set of spacers, including two brass bushings, two aluminum spacers and two aluminum flat washers. Installation instructions come on the packaging.
This fits brakes only with higher stud placement on the frame. The U-brake Gorilla Brake Beefer weighs 21.5 grams and mounting hardware adds another 24 grams for a total weight of 45.5 grams. It is available in Blue, Black, Lavender, Red or Silver.
